FINOLAB is a business community with special focus on FinTech (financial technology), located in financial district of central Tokyo, with 50+ startup and 15+ corporate members. And we are supported by the mentor group, FINOVATORS, with 20+ various experts, and the global advisory panel, with FinTech influencer from different parts of the world, to give advice to community members. Fukuoka Growth Next (FGN) is a Japan’s startup hub located in Fukuoka, west of Japan. The facility was established through a public-private partnership with the goal of fostering innovation and supporting startups. At FGN, 110+ startups, aspiring entrepreneurs, 24 companies of corporate sponsors consist of leading company such as Fujitsu, and members of the public can exchange ideas, grow businesses, and find inspiration to create a better world. We have just established in-house venture capital firm primarily invests in startups that are FGN tenants with outstanding ideas.

The Invest Tokyo programme by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is powered by Accenture to facilitate the entry of startups and asset management firms into Japan.

Accenture is working together with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to help engage start-ups and asset management companies under the 2019 Invest Tokyo Program. This is a global program and has supported over 80 companies from around the world to facilitate their market entry into Japan. The program offers two unique tracks at no cost (no charges or equity). Firstly, Tech Business Camp Tokyo is aimed at Industry 4.0 startups (AI, Blockchain, IoT, Robotics, AR/VR) who are looking to explore business opportunities in Japan. Applications are now open and close on November 8th! Secondly, the Free Consulting Service program is aimed at Asset Management firms, FinTech and Industry 4.0 startups who are looking to set up an office in Japan. JETRO is a government-related organization promoting mutual trade and investment between Japan and the rest of the world.

The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is a government-related organization promoting mutual trade and investment between Japan and the rest of the world. As one of the activities, JETRO has launched a team which accelerates open innovation between Japanese corporates and foreign start-ups. In order to address social problems within Japan, JETRO will bridge Japanese corporates and foreign startups who have cutting-edge technologies and disruptive business strategies by offering opportunities for foreign startups to attend Japanese exhibitions or dispatching Japanese delegations to the countries where there are advanced innovation ecosystem. The team is also working on to create an online platform to share the information regarding Japanese Innovation ecosystem including open innovation activities of Japanese corporates who are eager to collaborate with foreign startups.
