Michael Karbouris has 15 years experience building a variety of capital markets technology businesses across fintech, regtech, and anti-financial crime. Michael is currently Head of Strategy for Nasdaq’s Market Technology Buy & Sell Side division, covering M&A and Investments. He is responsible for evaluating, structuring and executing corporate investments, including acquisitions, joint ventures, minority investments and partnerships. Michael has been instrumental in Nasdaq’s pivot to becoming an enterprise SaaS technology provider for the global financial services industry, particularly in the areas of regtech and anti-financial crime. Michael holds a Masters in Philosophy from the University of New South Wales with research in Behavioral Finance and a Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons) from the University of Technology Sydney.
